Negotiations!

Recently I've been pursuing a business venture in the plastics industry. It hasn't been easy but eventually it will pay out in the long run. Maybe.

This Saturday we went up to Draper in Utah to meet with the inventor and give him a presentation on what we think would be best based on the market and also to get a license from him so we can get moving forward.

We gave him the presentation and he didn't really seem to like it very much. He really wanted us to pursue a different direction. So we discussed for a VERY long time about every little detail that would be part of our business and none of his. I kept my head aloof from all his detail-oriented questions till I finally just had to ask the man, "If we meet certain requirements and we both agree to the terms, will you license the technology to us?" He looked at me and then said, "Yes." That is one huge step in the right direction. Giant leap for the inventor. Good news for us. He should have his demands to us by this Saturday and then we can discuss the ridiculocity of his requests. Our counter proposal will be an interesting meeting...
