Where We've Been - Part 2

Welcome to part 2. Here is our lovely apartment all decorated for Christmas...

My mom placed this garland on top of the entertainment center. It looks quite lovely there...

Our stockings are hung on a coat stand...because we have no fireplace...

Even the piano is looking quite festive...

Remember these snowmen? I made them last year. And they are cute.

Can't forget Mr. Giraffe! He was feeling left out...

And here is our overall dining room atmosphere...It is especially Christmassy with the lights off and only the tree lights on...

Other things that have been keeping us busy besides finals...

I made Jonathan help me rearrange our bedroom. It was bothering me. But now it looks nice, n'est pas?

Now if only we had room to rearrange the furniture in the rest of our apartment...

Tuesday night for mutual we decorated gingerbread houses!

After a few major repairs, my house stood its ground.

One more final tomorrow morning, and then I am a free bird! At least for a few hours until I start working on the many items on my mental checklist...

Where We've Been - Part 1

I finally downloaded a bunch of photos from our camera, and Jonathan has been bugging me to post them, since I haven't updated for a while (because there's this thing called 'finals' that I've been doing...luckily I only have one left. They have been going fine, for the most part. I'll find out how I did in mid-February). Here is a hodge-podge of things we have been doing lately..

Visiting Dan and Melissa at the hospital and meeting their new baby, Juliet

Making Thanksgiving crafts with the Young Women...these are turkeys, if you can't tell

Flying to Boise for Thanksgiving to visit my family, eat turkey, watch foot ball, shop, etc. Unfortunately, I have no photos of these events. But I promise they happened, and we were there...

Seeing Rhen and Nicole and meeting their beautiful new baby girl, Brinley

Watching Jonathan and my brother Cameron play in the annual Hobble Creek Ward Turkey Bowl

Going with the DeLucenas to get a Christmas tree

Part two will show more of what we have been doing this December. We cannot believe Christmas is NEXT WEEK! Oh dear, so much to do... but I cannot think of that until my last final is over (Thursday). Until then!

FINALS - The Beginning? Or the End?

My first law school final exam is tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM.

I have been studying for 2 day straight, and I still do not feel ready.

I am feeling like panicking...

But I won't.

Because it won't help, and I know it.

I am going to walk into that exam with my head held high and my outline in hand.

I am not going to let the thick feeling of anxiety in the air get to me.

I am not going to let the incessant typing on the keyboards of my classmates bother me.

I am going to prove that I really did learn something in this class.

I'm going to do fine.

And then I'm going to study for my next final exam.

And take it on Friday morning.

And then I am going to really study for my next final exam.

And take it on Tuesday morning.

And then I am going to study hard for my last final exam.

And I am going to take it on Thursday morning.

I am going to be fine.

And then I am going to relax.

And go Christmas shopping.

And maybe read a book.

And go to lunch with friends.

And bake.

And sit and look at my Christmas tree and its lights.

And snuggle with Jonathan.

And clean and organize.

And celebrate Christmas with my family.

And ring in the New Year.

And then I am going to buckle down and begin a new semester.

And remember that I love going to law school.

Even if I don't love taking final exams.

PS - I've looked over my Contracts outline so many times that it's starting to look like that to me...
